Meeting/Training Schedule
January 2007
Drills will start at 7PM and end at 9PM.
January 2nd: Riverton Fire House
1. Hose & nozzle evolutions, Eng 4 & TK34 attach lines
2. Traffic trailer, hook-up to & backing with or without Squad 51
3. Portable heaters, use & re-fueling
January 8th: Riverton Fire House
1. Business meeting- starts at 8PM
January 9th: Riverton Fire House
1. Juniors & parent meeting- review new juniors' policy
January 16th: Pleasant Valley Fire House
1. Ct State Police- Traffic Accidents - OPTIONAL
Special Drill January 17th Wednesday Riverton Fire House
1. 5:30 Dinner, a great meal by the RVFD & Rose's Kitchen!
2. 6PM CPR & AED, we will train with our AED
3. 8PM Blood born,
4. 9PM HazCom, we will stop before 10PM & reschedule if not complete.
Jim Hutchison & Steve Sartirana will be our instructors.
January 23rd: Riverton Fire House
1. Tanker & Dump Tank Set Ups, classroom review of tanker operations with
emphasis on safe dumping and practice dry setups of both our dump tanks for
siphon & pumper use.
January 30th: Riverton Fire House
1. SCBA Review & Fit Testing,
a. drill on quick & complete donning of SCBA,
b. Use of emergency SCBA connections
including the RIT bag.
c. Juniors will train on staging for
SCBA use on the fire ground and air bottle changing
d. All interior firefighters will be
fit tested.
