Board of Director’s

Special Meeting

April 12, 2006

President Winn called the meeting to order at 7:36pm.

Warning of the Special Meeting was read aloud by Assistant Clerk Julie Burrell.

The Resolution Authorizing the Acquisition of the Fire Protection System Equipment that was drawn up by Barkhamsted Fire District’s Legal Council was read aloud by Director Norman Bird.

Discussion was held regarding the Riverton Fire Protection System Equipment.

A motion was made to vote by closed b-allot by J. Lagassie and 2^nd by K. Hansen. Unanimously approved.

Vote was taken by closed ballot.

Results:

52 signed voters

51 ballots counted

37 votes in favor of acquiring the Fire Protection System Equipment

14 votes against acquiring the Fire Protection System Equipment

The Barkhamsted Fire District will be taking over the Riverton Fire Protection System Equipment.

No other business was brought forth.

President Winn thanked the many Barkhamsted Citizens for coming out to the meeting.

A motion was made to adjourn the Special Meeting by N. Bird and 2^nd by K. Hansen. Unanimously approved. Meeting adjourned at 8:55pm.
