Vice President Ransom called the meeting to order at 7:30pm.
Corrections to
last month’s minutes:
A motion was made to accept last month’s minutes as presented by K Hansen and 2nd by T. Collins. Unanimously approved.
Treasurer’s Report:
The treasurer’s report was handed out by A. O’Toole and reviewed.
A motion was made to accept the Treasurer’s Report as presented by K.Hansen and 2nd by T.Collins. Unanimously approved.

Capital: Nothing at this time.
Insurance: Nothing at this time.
Fire Fighter Awards: Nothing at this time.
Health & Safety: Nothing at this time.
Policy: N. Bird handed out new joint application for membership packets that were approved at the December 2004 meeting.
A new policy for minor children prohibited in or on apparatus while involved in an incident as well as new budget policy, new purchasing policy and the new confined space rescue policy were also handed out by N. Bird.
SCBA: Some quotes are in – a meeting is to be scheduled in the near future for the committee to sit down and discuss.
M. Wilson has also received three quotes on compressors.
A motion was made to hold A Special Meeting on March 23, 2005 at Pleasant Valley at 7:30pm to approve SCBA purchase by K. Hansen and 2nd by N. Bird. Unanimously approved.
Old Business
Barkhamsted East Station and Pumper: Nothing new at this time.
Dry Hydrants: Nothing at this time.
State/FEMA Grants: All Forestry Grant money has been received.
Web Page: The page continues to be updated as information continues to trickle in.
Riverton Septic System: Nothing new at this time.
FDIC 2005: Two names are in – M. Follert, R. Neher, M. Wilson and L. Gillen will be attending.
2005-2006 Budgets: Discussion was held and all budgets were reviewed.
New Business
N. Bird reported that FEMA Grants have opened up for this year – the District has until early April 2005 to submit proposals.
A motion was made to adjourn the meeting by T. Collins and 2nd by N. Bird.
Unanimously approved.
