Committee Reports

Truck: Lt. Ed Connors reported that the truck committee will be meeting tonight after the regular meeting to work through the specifications.

Soda/Snack: Lt. Ed Connors reported that he has cleaned out the old candy and purchased some new snickers bars and peanut butter cups at Cosco.  However, he regrets to inform the membership that he ate all or most of the peanut butter cups before they could be placed in the vending machines.  As he does not like snickers bars they made it to the firehouse unharmed and he stocked the machine with these.  He submitted a bill of $17.29 for the snickers only.  He was able to get keys for the candy machines but has not yet located the keys for the soda machines.

Membership: Terry Cyr reported that an application for membership from Nils Johnson has been received and reviewed.  Nils had been a member here as well as at BE.  He has Firefighter I.  Terry Cyr proposed Nils Johnson for membership as a fire fighter.  Seconded by Storm Connors.  All voted in favor.

Terry Cyr also mentioned that a number of members have not been attending meetings as required and they need to get a letter.

Super Bowl: Francis Lattizori started the discussion by reporting that last weekend we had approximately $1400 in ticket sales.  He thanked all of those involved in the sales.  He stressed the importance of keeping the momentum and encouraged all members to come out in the coming weekends to sell.  Tickets are available at town hall.  We will also need people to get door prizes from area businesses.  Terry Cyr has a list of these and will post it in the firehouse.

Old Business

  1. The uniforms are still at the Cyr residence.
  2. The utility van is currently out of service due to clutch problems.  The District will have to decide what to do with it.
  3. House siren: we never heard back from the last company that worked on it.  As he knows someone there, Storm Connors will attempt to make contact with them.

New Business
  1. Assistant Chief Cyr requested that a better effort be made to wash apparatus after calls and drills.  There is no reason they can not be washed after each use unless it is too cold.  He also reminded all members of the requirement to record mileage when each vehicle is used.
